Sometimes terrible things happen quite naturally

I have only seen this (dark- scary - strange) movie once in the theater....and its memory always nagged me because i would start to describe to someone this "great horror movie" I saw and realize I could never remember its name.....and its seem that after a brief appearance on home video (VHS) in the US ...the movie just disappeared........no one knew... or saw ....or ever heard about it... I started to to think that maybe I was mixing up memories of movies....but along comes the internet and..... no.... the movie came out and thats was that. So lets hope for a proper US DVD soon...

.....adding to the rareness of this movie.....I could not find a single useable US 1 sheet poster on the internet.....I borrowed this very cool Japanese poster from Viggo Works

....Guess What??.......It turn's out that the camera was in the car the whole time...even though I tore it apart.....its like the devil himself put it back...this morin Gwyneth notice a little bit of silver under the seat as she is leaving for the train....ahhh well....Im glad it wasn't grabbed...and im a dick for even thinking it....

Well I either threw out my Sony Cyber-shot DCS-P73...which I'm sure I didnt or... some "one" lifted it off our table at Johnny's Reef Restaurant ...its the reason why there is no pictures from our trip to City Island & Yonkers Raceway last weekend......So its time for a new camera....

And the winner is...and keeping with brand loyalty..its the Sony Cyber-shot DCS-W290....

Can't wait to give this a good workout....

After the Fangoria Convention I walked back to Grand Central, and on the way i stopped by Times Square (I usually avoided because its very busy and lotsa crazy tourist) to check out the new pedestrian walkways...

The Mayor thought that... why not take the most busiest intersection in the US and close it down and put beach chairs in the middle od the street......I had to see it

Fangoria NYC 09 - 6/6/09

Fangoria's "Weekend of Horrors" returned to NYC after a a number of years in Brooklyn and New Jersey this past weekend. So my hopes were high after hearing that it would be at the Javits Convention Center.....a much easier and bigger location to deal with.....and not another hotel.

Very quiet.....

...so with the move to the Javits I "thought" it would be a bigger and better show ....and what we got was the same old - same old..... like every other NY Fangoria convention I have been to....Great guests & panels.....lousy dealer room....small space...

...But im glad that it still going on and had a great time as usual....and actually bumped into and spoke with Virgina Hey - the Warrior Woman in the Road Warrior. She was very cool.

Got my copy of Off Season Signed by the author Jack Ketchum, also a very cool guy.

......and the best for last...Finally tracked down the movie poster for Horror Express (1973)...
So all in all, a good start to Fangoria's return to NYC....

Pepsi Throwback.....WTF

.....I used to love Pepsi....and then sometime around '89 - 90....I found myself preferring Coke...and not lovin Pepsi anymore....what the fuck...

Pepsi changed from sugar being their sweetener to high fructose corn syrup some time in the Mid 80's....so im thinkin this might be the reason i switched??

so of course Gwyneth and I did a blind taste test to......

The Test:
1 - Can we pick which one is which...
2- Which one do we like
3- And for me, to see if i remember why i switched brands...

The Results:
1 - We both identified each correctly.

2- Gwyneth liked neither, but thought the Pepsi Throwback was better tasting - (did not like the chemical aftertaste of regular Pepsi)
- I liked the Regular Pepsi!...- (did not like the flat soda aftertaste of the Pepsi Throwback)

3 - Inconclusive....still not sure why i switched...Pepsi Throwback is nothin special
