MOVIES I LOVE - The Dogs of War (1981)

Maybe the best movie about Mercenaries.....I know everyone loves The Wild Geese, but I'm sticking to The Dogs of War.
My father took me to this movie after a typical Saturday afternoon running around New Rochelle...hitting the American Legion and the sandwich shop The Yellow Submarine....then off to Proctors RKO Theater on Main Street.....ahhhh I miss that movie theater.

here is a old picture...

well Chris....i will post on the family blog when i have something (family) to post.

....this blog is just a kind of a running list of what i am currently doing or thinkin or whatever

Im not the biggest The Longest Day fan.....

Now "A Bridge Too Far" is a whole nother story......best scene in that movie is when Robert Redford is crossing the river screaming
"Hail Mary! Jesus Christ!"...while everyone around him is dieing.

it made a impression on my small brain when I first saw it...HBO I believe...

Wasn't our dentist office right next door to the theater. The old pictures on the other blog made me think of Aunt Bridie and the last time I saw her was right near this theater. I, also, remember going to eat with Grandma too but I think it was a Woolworths (the diner in the back of the store). Thanks for bringing back some good memories. (okay...the dentist is not one of them)
