The Wild Geese, a most excellent choice. But, I must ask...

How do you rank these in comparison?

Bridge too far
Guns of Navaronne
Longest day
Tora Tora Tora

I'm watching True Blood with Donna. There seems to be more humping than blood sucking going on though.

Chris - That's a Good list..all of them have problems and are a little long...

1 - A Bridge Too Far
(first war movie I saw without a happy ending...love it)

2 - The Longest Day
(Epic movie..maybe to epic)

3 - The Guns of Navarone
(not bad but I love the sequel - Force 10 From Navarone..much more)

4 - Tora! Tora! Tora!
(Never Liked it)

Chris - furthermore - The Wild Geese is not a war movie its a "mercenary" movie...so its in a whole other category...(such as The Dogs of War")

Heff - I got no problems with that...

Good point on Geese being mercenarary flik, forgot...

Also, I meant force 10 and agree with you on Tora...

I'm torn between Bridge and Longest but got to go with longest in the end for its historical accuracy...

"Historical Accuracy"....as far as all "those" the movies go....is dubious...at best.

Tora, Bridge and Longest were actually very accurate in many ways.

Hardly "dubious" connections my friend...

Guns n Geese, sounds like a good drink eh???, although fiction are quite accurate in regards to tactics and place...

Its all very debatable Chris....speaking of ....the debate tonight should be fun to watch.
